St. Joseph Church Website

Here's a good news for all parishioners of Mira Road, Mumbai, India.
The Local Church of Mira Road has started a website for the church stjosephchurchocd.org.

St. Joseph Church, one of the most vibrant and dynamic parishes in mumbai ranks second with respect to the numbers of parishioners. Run by the Carmalite priests the church has seen a lot of changes and efforts to make it more dynamic and improve the spiritual well beig of the people.

This Website contains all information regarding the various church activities and a brif discription of the various association and cell formed in the church as well as the information of the choirs , history of the parish , the preists that have serverd the parish over the years.

The wesite was developed as an initiative taken by Fr. Rudolf D'souza, the then parish priest and under his guidance the webiste was developed by Mr. Merwyn Mathew - the Designer and Concept Head and Mrs. Dancia Jos - Website and Software Programming Head.

The photographs of the various feast celebration have also been posted on the website.

So just log onto http://www.stjosephchurchocd.org and browse through the website.

Safe Community has new website

Just in time for the new school year, the Welland Safe Community Partnership (WSCP) has announced that its community website has been officially launched.

The website, which can be found at welland.safecommunities.ca, provides up-to-date information on the programs and accomplishments of the WSCP, as well as several links to other safety-related resources.

"There have been several exciting undertakings within the past year, including the National Report Card, the development of business and volunteer safety ambassador awards and new designation criteria," said Bill Auchterlonie WSCP chair. "Additionally, the foundation is taking a greater role in making it easier for designated communities to reach their stakeholders through the development of websites and training workshops and materials."

In conjunction with the other 47 designated Safe Communities across the country, the WSCP will celebrate Safe Communities Day on Wednesday, Oct 3.

As part of the celebration, the WSCP will recognize a local recipient for the business safety ambassador award.

"We'd also like to recognize a volunteer in the community who has played a role in improving safety," says Bill Auchterlonie.

Nominations are being accepted until tomorrow.

Anyone who would like to nominate an individual of any age for the volunteer safety ambassador award can send an e-mail to welland@safecommunities.ca with their own and the nominee's contact information, along with a description as to what the nominee has done to improve safety.
